Résumé
This study examines the rise of "Trumpism" and its implications for American liberal democracy by situating it within broader structural transformations in the United States, rather than treating it as a purely political personality-driven phenomenon.
The analysis shows that Trumpism emerged at the intersection of different factors including political, economic and sociocultural ones. In this context, it has functioned as a powerful populist response that reshaped political discourse and patterns of mobilization, while also challenging established democratic norms.
However, it has not led to the final collapse of American liberal democracy; rather, it has exposed its internal tensions and institutional vulnerabilities.
