This study examines the rise of "Trumpism" and its implications for American liberal democracy by situating it within broader structural transformations in the United States, rather than treating it as a purely political personality-driven phenomenon. The analysis shows that Trumpism emerged at the intersection of different factors including political, economic and sociocultural ones. In this context, it has functioned as a powerful populist response that reshaped political discourse and patterns of mobilization, while also challenging established democratic norms. However, it has not led to the final collapse of American liberal democracy; rather, it has exposed its internal tensions and institutional vulnerabilities.
