تعتبر استراتيجية الدفاع الأمريكي دور مهم في تحقيق الأمن القومي الأمريكي من خلال وضع المبادئ والتوجيهات الضرورية لمواجهة التهديدات والتحديات المحيطة بالأمن الأمريكي، وهذا بالتنسيق مع كل المساهمين والجهات الفاعلة المعنية بالأمن الأمريكي، ويتطلب ذلك اقامة تحليل شامل لجميع تهديدات الأمن الوطني ثم التعامل معها، وبالتالي مراعاة السياق الاستراتيجي والتغيرات المرتبطة به. تتناول هذه الدراسة استراتيجية الدفاع الأمريكي في ضوء التهديدات الأمنية الجديدة التي تعد أهم المواضيع المطروحة في الدراسات الاستراتيجية والأمنية، فبروز هذه التهديدات الأمنية الجديدة أفرزت بيئة أمنية معقدة أسفرت عن تداعيات خطيرة على الأمن القومي الأمريكي، ما استلزم بناء استراتيجية أمريكية دفاعية فعالة لمواجهة هذه التهديدات وبالتالي الحفاظ على الأمن القومي الأمريكي
The American defense strategy is an important role in achieving American security by setting the principles and directives necessary to confront the threats and challenges surrounding American security, and this is in coordination with all stakeholders and actios concerned with American security, and this requires the establishment of a comprehensive analysis of all national security threats and then dealing with them, thus taking into account the context strategic and associated changes. This study deals with the American defense strategy in light of the new security threats, which are the most important topics discussed in the strategic and security studies. The emergence of these new security threats produced a complex security environment that resulted in serious repercussions on US defense strategy to confront these threats. Maintain US national security.
